My DSL provider has also been my webhosting provider... they are now in the process of outsourcing it and becoming a mere reseller of hosting. Hence my personal email is broken since Friday afternoon... I can read some things addressed to brian1789@lithic.net, but nothing sent to neo@lithic.net is getting through. So please use the former, or my work email, if you need to send me a message, thanks...

I just sent you an email from my gmail account to your brian1789@lithic.net account. If it doesn't come through, let me know and I'll send it a different way.

Do you know if LJ comment notifications are getting through?

Not that I've commented a lot so far, but in case I did, or start to ...

Sorry to hear about the mail hassles, hope it gets resolved soon. I just use a forwarder, so my mad.scientist.com address will always end up at my current email provider.

They are getting through now, since I re-aimed LJ at my brian1789 address. :)

I'm on the verge of punting my current DSL provider (dslextreme.com) -- since their hosting is now subcontracted out to AOL, the only thing I gain from going through my DSL provider is central billing. Aliases have stopped working, and despite promises to the contrary I can't get ftp access... and it costs $10/month for 3 email addresses with <100MB each. Places like www.siteground.com look like a much better deal for half the cost.

If you're just looking for stable webhosting, I'm quite pleased with my new provider, Site5. Multiple email addresses, FTP/SCP access, SSH shell access if you request it, nice site manager application, dirt cheap ($5/month right now if you pay for 2 years up front).
