I'll take it

My boss this evening sent me an email asking for the dates I arrived and left Resolute this summer, running the human vs. rover field tests. NASA is retroactively awarding AR and myself hazardous-duty pay for the time spent in the Arctic! I'll take it... (grin).

Way cool. Did it feel hazardous? :-)

Hey, cool! Is this because of the weather?

Isn't just working with AR considered hazard duty? *rim shot*

In which case, [livejournal.com profile] hopeforyou, you probably deserve it more than [livejournal.com profile] brian1789 does :D

(grin) No more than winter or mountain camping anywhere... but I won't argue.

The distance from medical care, use of hazardous equipment in a remote area, and possibility of polar bears were factors... not the weather, as far as I know.

So basically, what you're saying is you got paid extra for going camping? Sweet! ;-)
