In New York...
Oct. 30th, 2002 02:02 amI'm tired and should have been asleep an hour ago, so this is brief...
I'm in NYC (suburban Long Island at the moment) on business. I arrived yesterday, taking connecting trains from Newark airport via Penn Station in order to avoid driving a car through the city.
I cleaned up, went back into the city and had a lovely time with EA at "The Cajun" restaurant, where there was a jazz band playing 20s and 30s music... she has a crush on one of the members... it was all frubbly watching her gaze at him playing. Then a midnight train back here. After being up until 3:30, I was up at 7 and in a marathon meeting at Grumman that ran from 8am to 7pm without even breaking for lunch. Then a group dinner until after 9pm. Then I worked out in the hotel health club... managed to offend a sweetie, and was amazed by things going on with
patgreene (who also got a clean bill of health today -- yay!).
Tomorrow -- meetings resume at 7:30am. Later I should rejoin EA for the rest of the day, staying over there and leaving for home in the morning. I may become a "bagel mule" for
clairaide if we can figure out how to get them to her in SF...
