Home, for a few days

Back from Houston... it was a good trip, we got our Mars-analog drill project design started and (more importantly) brought the whole team (including the Spanish) together at one time. It was a good decision to bring SD and [personal profile] hopeforyou, despite the latter's residual jetlag. And they even tried 'gator... ;-). Our group's presentation Thursday was thrown together literally the night before from bits and pieces, but it looked much better than that.

Coming home was uneventful... I took SD and Hope on base at Johnson Space Center, they took the obligatory "stand next to F-1 engines" photo and others, whisked past the Lunar Materials Depository, and then hurried to the airport. The limo dropped Hope and I off here, so I then drove her home.

Instead of an inconvenience, this was actually warm-and-fuzzy... Hope got to see [profile] patgreene briefly, then I got to visit a bit in turn with [personal profile] sinboy and [personal profile] rosefox (the latter in form-fitting red velvet, mmm), and munch on fresh cookies that they'd just made together with [profile] lilairen and [personal profile] brooksmoses (grin). I feel reconnected with family and friends...

But in a few days, it will be time to go on another business trip, down to Los Angeles (JPL and Northrop). (stretch) Off to bed...

Send me an email if you want to see about having dinner while you're in LA. :-)

I'd be interested... it's a long way for you, I'm flattered *). However, I'm also sharing a rental car with [personal profile] hopeforyou. We'll probably go separate places one evening and stick together the other, but I'm waiting to hear from her.

Well, let me know (I've sent you email about my availability). As for the long way to go, I love to drive, and I especially like driving to see net.friends. *hug*

Yeah, send e-mail to serene, who will then let me know...that's if you'd like to see me as well.

That would be fun, and I'm flattered that serene would consider driving all the way up to Pasadena from SD... I don't have an address for either of you, however.

I can be e-mailed at "trinker (at) livejournal (dot) com".

Glad you liked the velvet. I was just wearing it as lounging clothes because my other clothes got rained on and I wouldn't dare wear it out of the house. *grin*

Then I'm privleged to have seen you in it, in the house... that, and the image of you in Josh's silk shirt from last week, both lingered meme-like for days afterward *).

Certain sweeties of mine are likewise quite fond of wearing red velvet (viz. Sunday brunch at APC9)...

Josh's... oh! That shirt is mine all mine. *grin* I only wear my SOs' flannel shirts and witty tees.

Actually, while participating in Cooking With Engineers, Next On The Food Channel, I was wearing purple-fuzzy. ;)
