Blah in SoCal...

Sitting here in Pasadena... anyone on my friends-list have local restaurant recommendations for dinner? [personal profile] hopeforyou has gone off to see [personal profile] sebab, and the folks that I was hoping to meet couldn't make it tonight. Otherwise, I'll eventually just wander around Colorado Blvd, dodging old ladies... or maybe walk to a bar and contemplate life.

If you feel like travelling, and have the taste for it, I heartily recommend King's Mongolian Barbecue in Northridge (on Reseda, north of Nordhoff); I tend to visit that particular establishment whenever I'm in Los Angeles.

I'm not sure if there's any "fine cuisine" (or even decent food!) in Pasadena; however, I could be wrong.

Go to Luna Negra. The address will be in the phone book. Really good Tapas Bar.
Or go to Jakes billiards. Best burgers in California.
Or the clearwater cafe. Tres good Oysters.
I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow.
my phone number is (818)501-5992
Call me when the meetings are done. You all can come here and we will walk to the Natural Gourmet and get some lunch.

Have a good night.

Great! I needed that, just before dinner... have fun with your steaks ;-). And see you tomorrow...

I hope you tried clearwater. They rock. And, if it's still opn, the bakery next door is a perfect wrap up for an evening out.

I'll look for it, otherwise Jake's (Luna Negra isn't in the phone book after all...)

Off to dinner, before everything closes.

Clearwater was closing as I walked up, and the bakery was dark... oh, well. I'm not a raw-bar fan, in any case... maybe next trip.

Heh. With the food and authentic-retro decor ("since 1947"), Jake's is what places like Johnny Rocket's dream of being... (smile). And one of us will call you when we're out of Northrop.

I am so sorry that I didn't manage to get in touch to let you know that I was feeling absolutely horrid tonight, and didn't want to risk giving you whatever lung spooge it is that I have.

Thanks for commenting -- I was a bit worried after you'd fallen silent for a few days (LJ and email). Don't worry about last night, I'd rather you take care of yourself (hug).

great coffee tea and jazz.
