(smile) tactics -- the airlines enforce a 4-hour stopover rule at connecting cities, unless one is standing by on the first leg. So by showing up at 5:20am, I was able to get on the 6:30am flight to Minneapolis (even got upgraded to first ;), thereby giving myself an extended six and a half-hour layover in Minneapolis before catching my original flight out of Minneapolis to Memphis. This was enough for a *very* pleasant afternoon, heh. I hadn't seen Nancy since February. She rearranged her work schedule to take the afternoon off, herself.
Actually, earlier I went so far as to check on whether I could set up a connection on the return Wednesday evening on United via IAD, but there isn't any IAD-Huntsville service :-(.
