I seem to have been made a member of an aviation community... didn't know that it was possible to "vacuum" from one's interests list.

I thought one had to join a community.

Me too, that's why I'm surprised. Not that I have anything against the new community in question, per se, but I didn't realize that an organizer could just subscribe people (based on their user profiles, presumably). Sort of like being unknowingly absorbed...

Ick

No some people add others without their consent. It's messed up. Just delete yourself if you so wish and tell the creator where to stick it.

A community can add you to its friends' list just as a user can add you to their friends' list. Along with that you don't have to add anyone to your friends list, just as you don't have to add a community to your friends list. You can remove yourself or I can remove you. I think anyway that you have to join the community yourself before you can post.

I added people who seemed to be interested in aviation or flying. If your truely not interested fell free to unsubscribe.
