Dull evening, week uncertain

Back in the office again, after three hours spent at Little League games (end of the season, both kids' teams lost). McDonalds again (4th time in a week). There are more slides to be done, plus contractual stuff (technical directives) that I was supposed to have sent Northrop by 6/1, oops.

But both offices on either side of me are occupied, and the robotics lab across the hall is busy, so at least there are other humans around.

Later at home I need to pack for tomorrow's trip to DC. My SO there is feeling ill... and her live-in partner isn't interested in seeing me... so I may not get to see much of her. It's been four months. Sigh. Not her fault, certainly, but sometimes it feels like the universe has been conspiring in the past few months to keep us physically separated.

I may be left to my own devices Thursday night... wish that I knew other folks around DC other than said partner. But a few hours spent with a sick LDR sweetie is still better than none at all (smile). Wish I could bring her something to help... I have a nurturing urge towards her right now.

Otherwise, just seeing you for a bit is fine. I'll try to be better company on Wednesday.

I figured that the latter two were busy with the move, and now live pretty far away (well, Baltimore). Of course, I thought Gaithersburg was vaguely somewhere near Baltimore, too... (blush).

I also have friends in that neck of the woods-- carmenwatson and her hubby and kids. Don't know what they're up to or if they are even in town. They were in the midst of moving, last I checked.
