Anniversary fun

Yesterday evening was fun... [profile] patgreene and I took a bottle of 1993-vintage wine (our 10th) to a local French restaurant. I had made reservations 3 weeks earlier... but they had a sign on the door "Closed until July 7 for the holiday". So we went to Zucca's in Mountain View instead, sat outdoors cafe-style, had excellent food (Pat had bunny-rabbit ;) and drank our wine and talked. Pat's anniversary gift to me was to put aside her depression and fear and be cheerful and engaging for the evening. It was lots of fun... I enjoy hanging out with her, with or without molten chocolate cake.

Aren't we adorable? (grin)

Thanks! And we were only 10 years older than that...

I still tease [profile] patgreene about her choice of powder-blue tuxes for the males... (chuckle).

Thanks! I eventually found something near Yosemite, so it worked out.

Aw, you guys look so cute! And impossibly young as well, of course.

Glad you two had a good time, despite the idiocy of the original restaurant!

We were pretty young -- 23 and 22, respectively. Neither of us had ever dated anyone else, and we weren't sure what we were getting into, but we loved each other enough to gamble. It worked out... :-).

Eeeee! You guys are so *cute*!! *grin*

Sorry the restaurant plan didn't work out exactly, but it sounds like a good evening was had anyway. Have a great, relaxing weekend, you two.

Being more flexible and adaptable over inconsequential things is an improvement in our relationship over the 20 years... no worries over the restaurant.

Have a relaxing weekend yourself ;-).
