Nothing much to do at 2:30am... I could unload and reload the dishwasher, I guess. No one's been online this evening, all of my email and LJ comments are caught up, no work assignments to finish. The new spackle on [profile] patgreene's door is now dry, but sanding it might wake someone.

Otherwise, today... I sent a card, but to forgot to call my father Friday on his birthday. I feel bad about it... I should call tomorrow.

I took the kids to church (Pat was home with a sore throat), basked in a bit of afterglow from the previous night, re-spackled the door, fed the kids lunch, started a pot roast, made out with Pat (was interrupted by James... who didn't knock on the door, but just barged in. Sigh.) and added veggies to the roast beef. After dinner, watched football while catching up on the last bit of July's unanswered email. All low-key and mundane things... normally I wouldn't bother writing about these, but I'm wide awake and have nothing else to do.
Except worry about [personal profile] geekchick and her sick pet in the hospital...

Reminds me of the joke about using Vaseline for sex. "Really? You do? Well, I expect many of our customers do, but they're not so forthcoming. Would you mind telling us exactly how you use it?" "Oh, certainly. We put it on the bedroom doorknob to keep the kids out."

If he's been emotionally traumatized by seeing his parents, um, occupied, he has only himself to blame... (grin). I've been trying for months to persuade him to knock before opening doors. Vaseline... that's funny. Although a bit dated, as a lubricant, given its unfriendliness to latex.

*grin* At least it wasn't S&M. ;-)

Well, in the context of the joke I think we're supposed to presume a married (presume fluid-bonded) couple (because of mention of kids). Though I guess assuming marriage based on presence of kids is dated, too. :)

True... although I'm told that the fear of discovery may add a frisson of pleasure to someone actively constrained, that's not an experiment that I want to run at home :-).

I love to cook, to bake, to homebrew... the creativity, process, design, touch and smells... all pleasing.

I often only sleep about four-five hours per night... I don't need more. This is great for combining late-night socializing with early-morning childcare, but means I go to bed hours after Pat.
