Today I took a deep breath, and decided to finally "out" myself poly-wise to a friend... a distant-but-special friend, someone that I once practically worshiped. My first love, 25 years ago, although we never did more back then than kiss and write daily letters. She's monogamous and has been married now for 20+ years, so I feared a strong negative reaction. With great trepidation, I wrote her an email over lunch, and sent it... and in her reply tonight, discovered that she'd been reading my LJ and had figured this out long ago. Eep.

She was nervous leaving here because she was late... but seemed happy when she returned. Hopefully we'll meet someday... you probably live within a couple of miles of me!

No, alas. We go to church quite close to you, but we live way down the road. OTOH, since we do go to church up your way, we spend a fair bit of time there.
