I found out an hour ago that yes, I am going to DC on Sunday rather than directly overseas on Monday.

I had a good lunch in SF with hopeforyou, and hopefully she feels like part of the team again.

A reporter from a local tabloid weekly ("Metro" or something) was lying in wait for me when I returned to work from lunch... wanted to talk about Mars robotics. She said "isn't it cute that robots are looking for Martians?" and " I hope that I live long enough to be turned into a cyborg or a robot." I can only wonder what kind of story she'll write...

I *still* haven't finished my lecture notes... or my yearly astronaut application update... must come in to work tomorrow, after all.

Tonight I'm going out with patgreene. Yay!

Hmmm... I have a Bad Feeling about this story... it will probably be out while I'm in Spain, so you'll have to look out for it. Probably with "War of the Worlds" effects and a "robots are taking over" theme. Sigh.
