A long day

jayMy first full day of work here at the Rio Tinto site.
Up at 8am, after getting to bed at 3:30... team breakfast at 8:45, then we carpooled over to the lab (in the back of the mining museum). The room is crowded with lots of equipment (including a 10' glovebox) and 8-10 people.
In the next room over, we had more equipment, and core storage... next to 2Ka-old Roman amphorae presumably found nearby.
I tried to get our server visible tohopeforyou, unsuccessfully. Then entered log sheets of cores, revised a database, and helped process samples. Later I went over to the borehole site, at the top of the ridge:
Lunch was from 2-4pm, then back to the lab. Lots of cores came in at the last moment (7:30pm)... we were at work until 11:30pm. Then went back for a late dinner, then more conversation withhopeforyou, then to bed at 2am. A long day...
