Not a pet shop
Many shops in Spain end their names in the suffix -eria... panaderia (bread), cervezeria (beer, a bar), lavaderia (laundry), etc. Fine. I was even amused at the hybrid "croissanteria" sign that I saw in Granada last week. Until I saw "ferreteria"...which turns out to sell hardware and kitchen goods, metal stuff (ferrous materials, not small wiry mammals ;-).

*nod* I suspect it's similar to the differences between American and British English. I could dig around to see if I still have some of my old Spanish linguistics books if you're really interested in that sort of thing. Except they'd probably be in Spanish, come to think of it. Never mind. ;)
