As though I needed another reason to procrastinate before going to work, this morning... copied from [personal profile] geekchick and others:

first real kiss: Lila, age 18, back of a tour bus... that was a mind-bending two weeks.
first job: McDonald's in Marietta, GA, as a high-school senior. I needed to save $250 to blow on the senior prom... I had a ceremonial role as student president. Eleven girls turned me down, when asked. ;-).
first screen name: jay (MIT AI Lab account, 1980)
first self-purchased album: Songs based on Edgar Allen Poe stories, by the Allan Parsons Project, 1978. Very goth, but no one knew that back then.
first funeral: next-door neighbor GW, when I was 14.
first pets: a Siamese cat with a vicious streak (Topeka), and a large red collie-shepherd mix dog (Thunder)
first piercing: never had one
first true love: Lila, although it was mostly unrequited. A recurring pattern in my life.
first big trip: my parents would drive us all from Georgia to visit relatives in Kansas in even-numbered years, my first one was when I was two. My first big trip to non-relatives was a 3-week family tour of the western US when I was 15. My first trip outside the US was to Vancouver when I was 20.
last big car ride: Nerva to Madrid, last month in Spain
last kiss: hmm... ignoring brief passing greeting/departing pecks... last serious kiss was actually a week ago from [personal profile] geekchick outside my hotel in Virginia.
last good cry: yesterday morning
last movie seen: In the theater, "Love Actually".
last beverage drank: orange juice
last food consumed: chocolate-chip flavored oatmeal, for breakfast
last phone call: to Julie, Tuesday night
last TV show watched: bits and pieces of "Yu-Gi-Oh", which the kids were watching while they ate breakfast
last shoes worn: black leather slip-ons
last CD played: two weeks ago, one burned for me by [personal profile] geekchick as a birthday present in 2002 ; before that, the RHPS soundtrack in the rental car in Madrid
last item bought: milk at Safeway, half an hour ago
last disappointment: missing people last night at coffee
last soda drank: diet coke, unsurprisingly
last ice cream eaten: I don't remember... it's been over a month!
last shirt worn: light blue Land's End long-sleeve knit shirt

Witty, charming, and I loved the Portuguese scene at the end...

(grin) Until I graduated from university, I was Jay (my middle name), not Brian. The former is still my "intimates" name, the one that family uses, and what I mutter when I'm talking to myself. Brian is my formal, professional, external persona.

I'm somewhat different people under the different names, too, but that phenomenon shouldn't surprise you... ;-).

She explained it all in an LJ post... before she deleted the journal. Oops. She has now (temporarily?) resurrected it.
