Square wave day
Oct. 5th, 2001 01:24 amPeg up! Peg down! Peg up! ... today my sinusoidals all became square waves. After a few hours of sleep (I drifted off and left LJ up on my screen at home, so now one other person (Pat) knows about it) I remembered I had a 7:30am telecon on RLV health management with the Huntsville folks and Northrop. But the briefing materials were sent as an encrypted zip file, and I don't have the passwords. So I just listened (down). Most of the day has been focussed on writing the opening pages of this Mars drill automation study.
But then I had lunch with a friend an co-worker (who is also in the poly community) and we got to trade our respective stresses and flirt a bit and have some nice Indian food in Mountain View (up). Then, back at work after dinner, I got a expletive-laden return breakup letter (and disagreement with my issues, across-the-board). I still love the person in question, but the underlying relationship dynamics are just too unhealthy for me (big down). Then a half hour later, I read a post on alt.polyamory that amounted to an open statement of admiration, from someone I was already fond of. (big up, after I picked my jaw up from the floor in shock :-). Then I got lots of reassurance from N and later B about the breakup issues (up), at the cost of being less productive working on this report (slight down)... which I will now save and go home, since it is 1:30am.
