It's done

So I'm off to bed... just a mere 3200 words, but it has taken me a week (and three early-mornings in a row) to get this paper written on last summer's humans vs. rovers science productivity tests. If I'm lucky, I may even get some feedback before I have to submit it to the conference organizers...

(yawn) must sleep now. Garbage trucks are outside.

I finally stumbled into bed around 6am, was up again around 11. I've been taking it easy this afternoon, knowing that I have to go back to work this evening. JL is stranded in DC, so I'll be running his meeting tomorrow and Wednesday.

My upcoming travel schedule...
2/26-28 to Washington, DC (FAA/NASA meetings)
3/11-14 to Houston (Automated drill project meeting)
3/19-21 to Los Angeles (dry runs for vehicle health mgmt. demonstrations)

I might also fit in a side trip to NYC sometime to discuss another Mars-analog drilling proposal with a robotics company there. And [personal profile] hopeforyou will likely be at the latter two meetings.

Before I posted my "blunt truth" meme-survey link Friday night, I considered what I thought the answers would be/should have been. I was close in a few areas (trust, intelligence, bossiness) but far off in others (my driving prowess). Apparently other people, at least the 20-odd that answered, think I'm more fun to have around than I do... Below the cut is what I thought, vs. the average response (I got no individual scores, and I don't know the scatter).

Spoilers, if you intend to take my survey (but haven't yet). )
