yay, us!

2.5 hours of couples counselling... we both deserve pats on the back. We communicated and worked together and actually dealt with issues... functionally, and lovingly, and with relatively low drama.

Now I need to pack, and I'm up and off to the airport in... 3 hours.

(yawn)

Off to the airport, again... to DC today (well, Tyson's ;) and back at dawn Thursday. (I started to type "to", there... fuzzy-headed, sigh)
Going to an FAA air traffic R&D meeting tomorrow. 11 days until leaving for Spain for 3 weeks... hopeforyou and others are off to the playa in a few hours.

good news, bad news

I'm safely in my DC-area hotel now... had a nice layover in Minneapolis and saw Nancy's house torn up in ongoing renovations, and had some overdue discussions. That's good :).

Checking email, NASA HQS has announced which Exploration Program proposal abstracts have been selected for preparation into full proposals. They picked 400 out of 3500 submitted. The good news... of the eight in which I'm a participant, three were picked. The bad news... the full proposals are due five days after I leave for Spain. I will have my hands full between now and leaving the country! JL is on one of them (ironically, the one *I* wrote at the last minute and gave to CSC for them to submit) and will undoubtedly pressure me to stay home... which I will resist ;).
