Yesterday, we took the kids and Pat's mom to Disney World in Orlando... getting six people in, plus food and parking, was not cheap. But opportunistic, given that we were all down here together. The kids had lots of fun... although James (and to a lesser degree, myself) was sometimes frustrated at the slower pace made necessary by the less-fast-moving members of the party. We hit one cranky spot around 5pm, but recovered... we were in the park from 10:45am until closing at 10pm, and probably walked several miles. Rode the revamped Space Mountain, as well as a surprisingly good 3-D show and the revamped log flume ride with Joel Chandler Harris characters, among other things. It was cool and clear and windy, and the park was its usual crowded holiday condition. Kevin was thilled that he was now tall enough to ride everything, unlike two years ago... David was no longer too frightened to ride roller coasters, although he refused to go in the Haunted Mansion. Must have heard the movie reviews...
Photos are forthcoming, after I have access to more bandwidth. Today... a seabird hospital/sanctuary. Then perhaps the Narnia movie. Tomorrow, drive back to Atlanta.
