patgreene. Good, although Mark was underplayed.
Yesterday... submitted my drilling project for a Center-wide contest, talked to the Society of Petroleum Engineers folks who are inviting me to come speak in September. Date withtenacious_snail last night... massage beforehand by kineticphoenix (in her professional role), and she was very good. Les was stressed about her dog Cayenne's illness and took her to the vet again. I was glad to be around for support there.
There went my annual performance bonus... got the Mustang back. Over $1K in repairs, the front struts were shot and were the cause of excessive camber that in turn ruined the front tires. Fixing those things, plus two more new tires in the rear (needed them anyway) and it hit four figures. Ouch.... at least the car handles much better, tighter and quicker in turns.
Ran errands for Kevin's birthday party, repaired the bathroom sink, modified the front flower bed drip irrigation system and found a break in the backyard sprinklers. Tonight: hang out withpatgreene, check on Cayenne while Les is overnight with inflectionpoint. Tomorrow: am church, afternoon workshop in SF, dinner afterward with inflectionpoint myself.
I seem to have made the transition back from the field without starting any online flames or retreating into isolation (pats self slightly :).
