Last skating class of the season

My last class until October... the rink closes Saturday for the summer. We worked *hard* tonight... jump after jump after jump, like doing deep knee bends for 15 minutes at a stretch. New things: backward spirals (arabesques) on an edge; waltz jump - toe loop jump combinations; and we learned the salchow jump (which jumps edge to edge, instead of from the toe pick).

I'm still having a lot of fun, and am a bit sad to see the season change.

Afterwards, I went over to tenacious_snail's new place and joined her in her hot tub.

Before class... patgreene and I visited and decided to take this free tub that we found on Craigslist. It needs carpentry work on the wood panels and supports, but the heater and pump are functional and there aren't cracks.
