sibling rivalry...
Aug. 28th, 2007 10:33 amMy sons? No... the two 4-month-old kittens. As long as Penwiper was safely in the cat trap, indoors, Chocolate was playful and kept her company and even fiddled with the latch. But when I put P. in *his* cage this morning, moving *his* food and water out into the dining room... suddenly his sister became a marauding interloper. Hisses, swipes, growls... I now have her moved into one of the bathrooms, and he's being self-satisfied. Tried to reassure C. "just because there's another cat doesn't mean we don't still love you... we can work out a schedule. You both bring different talents and abilities..." but he just hissed at me. (This line hasn't worked much better with sweeties ;).
OTOH, P. now will let us pick her up, feed her bits of ham and scratch her ears, and will purr... still partially socialized from before, it seems. Although seeing that, left C. giving me cold looks...
