After last Saturday's anniversary, I wanted to offer up my favorite JFK quote here... and I think it is an idea that extrapolates to many areas of endeavor. Even including interpersonal relationships, as much as space technology development ;-).

You know, I was just watching a show about the 95 known moons in the solar system. There are so many reasons to go, and many of them are financially viable. But it takes a long term vision that seems so lacking these days. I am saddened that the people with the purse-strings are so short-sighted and so influencial.

Amen. Not that this means you can't enjoy the "work", but pretending there isn't any work to do would definitely be a problem.

I think this ties neatly into our conversation over the weekend about how people who ditch relationships when they become "too troublesome" miss out on some of the great rewards that longstanding relationships offer.
