They'd better not chide me...

Yes, I'm over an hour late to the design review, and I haven't finished a document review for JL, due at 11am today. But I have a sick partner at home, had to get the kids off to school up until 8:30am and have been on the phone for the past hour... my father's getting a pacemaker installed tomorrow. I have to stay here since [profile] patgreene can't watch the kids in her current condition. When he gets out of the hospital, and we arrive Sunday, I sure hope that none of them has come down with the flu... arrgh.

My stress levels are surging... off to work. Pity the first person to provoke me today...

pace maker...

my grandfather got one a few months ago and it's been GREAT for him. It felt really huge and like a big deal when he went in, but it sure turned out to be pretty easy - and it's made all SORTS of things better/easier for him! And he's 92 now ... so someone younger will probably have an even easier time of it.

It's still nerve-wracking, I'm sure, but just wanted to share something that (I hope) is positive and comforting about it.

((hugs))

Is there any chance of life-threatening infection with a new pacemaker? I'd be worried about spreading contagion with folks sick in your household. Wondering if it might not be the better part of valor for you guys to stay home right now, and visit later.

Whatever you decide to do...

*good luck* and *hugs*

I'm sorry you're having a stressful day. *hug* I was thinking what [livejournal.com profile] dawnd asked, is it going to be dangerous for your father to potentially be exposed to the flu so soon after his surgery? I hope things calm down for you soon, dear.
