Need an outlet

Today has generally scraped thus far... but I'm actually not feeling bad. Pat came back, then everyone was generally snarky for the rest of the day. And pursued aggressive housework. We're all better now. I'm still moderately cheerful, but fight-or-flight has left me with lots of restless energy... I really need to go dancing now. Or skating, or lift weights, or *something* to relieve this latent tension and restlessness. Unfortunately, none of those are available on a Sunday evening.

Go for a brisk walk or a run? You could find something in your house to use as dumbbells I'm sure if you really want to lift weights (canned goods make excellent substitutes).

Salsa dancing at Alberto's (http://www.albertos.com) in Mountain View on Dana St.

I googled for something like "sunday night dancing san jose" and found them. There's more out there. =)

ideas:

1) find JL's home number. 2) block your number to read 'unknown'. 3) put JL's home number on speed dial. 4) call. set up cron job to call at 4 am.

Sit back and watch the fun.

Go for a long drive in the van. A very long drive.

Um...sit outside different city council members' homes and see if you can cite them for noise violations that are genuine.

Look up new recipes. Go to market, buy ingredients, and have a cooking and freezing party.

Play violent videogames.

I can think of others, but they aren't printable at the moment.

Suggestions:

1) Tae-Bo exercise tapes.
2) obsessive house cleaning, particularly anything that needs to be 'scrubbed'.
3) pacing while talking on the phone.
4) gallon jugs of milk (plastic with handles) make good hand weights too if you're too macho for canned goods.
5) create an LJ community for people who like to dance in your area so you can develop a network.

sorry you're so restless. I always hate feeling that way.
hugs

Pull up "MOUNTAIN VIEW VOICE" JUNE 16, 2000. There is an article that might interest you about this problem. Tell James to hang in there. Practice after homework in the afternoon.

He was so very excited about his drums. Surely there can be a compromise to suit everyone.
