Long evening

jayTonight... ice skating lessons, then unexpected socializing.
Pull--lean--flash -- flash--flash--flash--flash--flash--pull--stretch--hold--glide. We worked on spins and jumps tonight... it makes me dizzy. I managed to get a spin up to 6 revolutions -- almost up to passing level (7). That's real progress this year. And I attempted something new -- ballet jumps and my first combination (back-to-back waltz jumps). The first time... I fell. Nearly cracked my head.
On a whim, I dropped by the site of the Palo Alto dinner... people were still there, to my pleasant surprise. I talked with RA, then outside after closing with a dwindling group including finallymissk and p3aches. It was pleasant... if cold, standing outside in 38-degree weather.
