In search of a shooting buddy...

Annual wild-animal-defense refresher training is coming up again in a couple of months, and we're advised to have had some dry-fire and proficiency training beforehand. NASA doesn't issue firearms to non-security employees. If any local firearm-owning friends would be interested, I'd cover range costs and ammunition... I'm particularly interested in 12-gauge shotgun practice, since that's what we carry on Devon Island, but .44 revolver or .30-06 or .45-70 rifle practice would be good as well. Anyone interested?

try the Pink Pistols, they're a fun group.

I need to look them up. Been too long since I've been to a range.

(Brian, I don't own the types of firearms you're looking for, or I'd volunteer.)

Thanks... I suspect that, given your background, they'd be higher-velocity-smaller-caliber firearms.

Whoa... That would be interesting. I can't do weekends, though.

btw, Friday is fine. (is it this friday?)

Weekday evenings are fine, except Wednesdays. Although I've already promised this Friday to [profile] patgreene for other purposes ;-). It will be over the next couple of months -- my refresher class is April 5 -- so there should be a couple of opportunities.
