Something history-of-water related... a colleague sent me an email last night:

SS gave a couple of us in the Sequencing room (where MAPGEN is used twice daily) a "science talk" at 2am last Thursday with details of the findings which even at that strange hour were riveting. I double checked with Jim Erickson, B's Mission Manager and now deputy project mgr., and he believes, the findings are "more than adequate to show NASA's return on investment on MER".
