In New York...

In a hotel on the waterfront at Battery Park, across from what appears to be a ferry terminal. Weird... the room comes with a telescope. There is a nice view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, granted...

Off to dinner with Pascal, to some place called "The Palm"... ? To discuss this summer's Devon Island deployment over seafood...

The Palm--VICTORIA has been getting junk mail from them at our address for years now. I think her "uncle" Chris took her there one. It looks pretty swank, you lucky dog!

Actually, the small, older location is much more informal and comfortable than the more-recent-but-swanker location across Lexington Avenue ;-). Lobsters... mmmm.

Thanks! We had coffee in the north of Greenwich Village at a place called the "Galaxy Cafe", appropriately for space project planning...

I have occasional cravings for the Palm's chopped salad. I hope that you discovered it. :)

(snaps fingers) rats, didn't try it. We went there to order huge broiled lobsters... the cartoons on the wall were fun, especially the 1930s-vintage ones.
