Too much emotional processing, hitting overload. Another 2.5-hour session tonight, and the therapist was running an hour late to begin. We wound up going unbroken from 9:30pm to midnight.

I'm supposed to prioritze my own fun, get more sleep, ask people how they are feeling (rather than guessing from their nonverbals) and practice asking [profile] patgreene for things. And she is supposed to ask me frequently, so she can refine her technique while I practice saying "no" to silly requests.

I like that drill... never did do it enough, myself.

Good luck to the both of you!

Erf. Sounds like this therapist pulls no punches.

I wish you both success.

Would you bring me a shrubbery home from work?

Eep! You saw what I wrote! ;-)

No, I won't bring you a shrubbery. But thank you for asking. :-)

YAY.

With all that going on, I can certainly understand not having processing power to deal with the comments I unloaded on you the other night.

However, I would appreciate having heard something directly to that effect, since otherwise I'm left having to guess (though this entry makes it fairly easy) whether you're too busy, too tired, too angry, or too [foo] to respond. And when you do have some breathing room, even if it's days or weeks down the line, I would like to hear your responses if you want to share them.

(nods)

I'm under the gun (currently doing slides for JL for tomorrow for work) but nonetheless will honor your efforts with a set of replies -- I'm just behind, and have pushed LJ and email back. I want to reply to a couple of other longer comments by others, as well.

So far, few requests, but I haven't seen much of her. No shrubberies...

Goes to the point, and also does not timekeep...

After 2+ hours... it has taken me a couple of days to recover. And I find myself strangely breaking-down at odd moments, and needing hugs. Hopefully this will accomplish something...
