The weeks-old shipment, under threat of cancellation, is also in Europe now... in Luxembourg. (?) It may be here tomorrow, and then follow us to Rio Tinto. The backup shipment has already arrived at Madrid airport and is waiting for customs clearances.

We have a satellite plan, are transmitting, and will be able to establish IP service after lunch.

We have resolved the field IP-address-space issues. Sarah is busy configuring the servers. So there's progress.

At a personal level, it's easy to forget at times that I'm in Spain... it's very job-focussed now.

Luxembourg and Madrid

Ever so much better than LA or Indianapolis or wherever the hell else they have been. It sounds like work is continuing to kick your ass, but that progress is being made and that actual research might occur once you get to Rio Tinto. But argh! how draining and exhausting in the meanwhile.
