(no subject)

Technical goals met.

We have successfully established communications and transferred command files and image data to/from the two hilltop test locations.

This meets (actually exceeds, with some additional automation tests) our stated goals and objectives for this field test. In addition, CS has asked us to test communications to two other possible sites for next year (near gossan caves, and purple shale near Site 1), which I believe we can accomplish within the original time constraints.

Go us. :)

[update: it's after lunch here (4pm) and now the gossan site is done, too... one more and we're completely done except for (a) packing) and (b) [personal profile] hopeforyou confirming that she can see the files from NASA. ]

Excellent! Very impressive to exceed goals and objectives, but even more so given that you've had to do it with the burden of RA.

(raising a theoretical glass of port, nibbling machego and figs, in your honor)

I logged into the website and saw the data 9/21 folder. I downloaded the files to my Powerbook via scp, recursively and with the original timestamps on them.

Mission accomplished!
