Packing, leaving here in 15 minutes... 6-hours to Madrid. Tapas and the chocolateria tonight... 11:30am flight tomorrow morning.

Paydirt at lunchtime. Paella. And monkfish with a mildly spicy sauce afterward, and flan, and coffee for the road...

Yeah, the only reason for staying at their (inconvenient) hotel was that they were supposedly paying for it... sigh. I was not impressed with their travel support, frankly. If I hadn't made a fuss the week before she left, they wouldn't have even given sarahh a cash advance. There's a pernicious, US-centric perception there that (a) the whole world of course takes plastic, and (b)every employee has multiple credit cards and doesn't mind temporarily financing business travel expenses out-of-pocket...
