home, now

I'm at home... nothing planned today. I'm a bit jetlagged, but not much. It's dinnertime in Spain. The kids are home today (in-service day, school closed) and have been yelling. Restlessness... I should have planned something for transition. Debating going in to work, just to have something to do... either that, or maybe work on kitchen cabinets. Feh. It is "hard" to de-motivate and enforce inactivity when one has been running hard for weeks.

Hey, you could do what I did--get horribly sick for 4 days!

Glad that you're feeling better...

My immune system seems reasonably impervious to most shocks, generally a good thing... except when the kids catch something at school, [profile] patgreene is laid low by it, and I'm then the only healthy person in the household...

Still, better a caretaker than being sick. Or dying because my hamster bit me...

I didn't find slack a hard thing to deal with, but then, I just wanted to sleep forever. Ah, well. I suggest not going into work.

Oh, slack just drives me nuts at times... I have to be doing *something*, even if it just answering LJ comments ;). If I go to work, it will probably be to just use the gym...

Oh, go hang out at the bookstore and drive Amanda nuts!

Thanks for the election-financing link, BTW... that was fascinating.
