Invitation to a small gathering...

It is with pleasure and pride that I announce that my beloved patgreene will be on national TV this upcoming week, on "Jeopardy". It will air on Tuesday evening everywhere except on the West Coast, where Monday night football will push it to Wednesday. Locally, it will be on our ABC affiliate (channel 7) on 7pm on Wednesday.

We're planning to watch it here at our house in Mountain View, and anyone who'd like to watch with Pat is invited to drop by then. Airtime is 7pm, so we'll open up the house around 6:30pm. There will be some drinks and snacks set out, but nothing fancy. Our house is small and rather cluttered, but I don't expect a large turnout on short notice. Anyway, let me know if you're planning to join us. :)... I think that being on Jeopardy is really cool, myself...

I'd like to come, but would probably need to do it on public transit-- is that do-able? Is a ride back to BART a possibility?

Also, one of the ways that I cope with stress is to bake. I made more than 15 dozen cookies during exam week my first semester of law school. Anyway, if you'd like something (non-fancy, and non-brownies, because I already know Pat's brownies are WAY better than mine), let me know of any parameters and preferences. I couldn't conceive a way to bake to include mushrooms, but maybe there are other things that your family avoids (or loves...I have extensive experience with baking for the palates of third graders).

I would actually be coming from work at Ames (I think)- but if you could get to that part of the world (I'm not clear enough on public transit options in the east/south bay to have ideas), I'd be happy to pick you up and get you there and home again..

Caltrain from SF is easy to do, we live in walking distance from the San Antonio station. I can arrange a BART pickup in Union City otherwise.

Oh, and any baking would be welcomed. Cookies, pound cake, a pie, etc... :)
