a nice break

jayTook off for a few hours this afternoon to take David and Kevin over to a holiday storytelling in Alameda... I'd arranged to meet Julie and her kids there, and as an added bonus got to hang out a bit with dawnd when she showed up with Allegra :)
I'm not taking the week off, per se, so it is nice to find the odd bits and pieces of time to do fun family things.
Back in the office afterward, I was interviewing a prospective student intern when we were interrupted by a police officer (the candidate had bumped a parked car, and he delivered her a warning... she was very nervous. I was secretly highly amused :).
And I finished and sent off an automated drilling proposal this morning.
