work-related, really...

Okay... overhand, ring or water knot, fisherman's knot (kind of a two-rope overhand), square, figure-eight, double overhand, double figure-eight. Not bad for the first class, I guess... these are just leading up to the kinds of knots needed to secure gear (trucker's hitch) or for harnesses (crevasse safety). And I have 15 feet of climbing rope in my office to use for practice...
