Monday night, [profile] patgreene and I had the pleasure of driving into SF and meeting [profile] curlygrrl near her hotel in the Mission. She has abundant energy and verve, despite her asthma. And has great stories to tell... I'm glad to have caught her before she left to return Down Under.

After I met [personal profile] p3aches and [profile] kokoro43 for lunch, Pat and I had a long, best-friends discussion Monday afternoon. Whatever our relationship stresses, we're still each other's confidantes and best buddies, underlying the rest.

Yesterday I worked at home in the morning, then decided to have lunch with Pat before spending the afternoon helping JL with air traffic project planning and giving an inpromptu briefing. Thinking on my feet, both technically and in manipulating the politics...

And [personal profile] tenacious_snail came over to our house for dinner and to hang out... she has now been initiated into playing the "Question of Scruples" game, which causes arguments among my blood relatives ;).

Today... just finished a MARTE telecon ([personal profile] sarahh joined it also, from Madrid) and plan to have lunch with [personal profile] dawnd while working on two conference paper abstracts and filling out travel and purchasing paperwork. Ice skating tonight...

This is me not being jealous at all. No. Honest. Really. I'm not a bit jealous. I couldn't care less.

... stop looking at me in that tone of voice. I can't keep up the facade if you do that.

Seriously, you lucky people. *sigh*

Brian, there's this concept, "Eating bread in front of the hungry." Ever hear of it?

*sulks*

It was truly hysterical to draw a card that was about "do you tell your new local romantic interest about your pre-existing long distance romantic relationships?", and just waiting and waiting to get a "yes" card so I could ask it of [livejournal.com profile] brian1789 (who told me about his then-current two LDRs before our first date, and who I can't imagine not disclosing existing relationships while pursuing a new one).

I *wanted* to lie on that one, since I figured that you had a "yes" card, but just *couldn't*...

you're such an ethical poly that you can't even pretend otherwise for the purpose of getting closer to winning a game, or you just didn't want to disappoint me?

(I actually noticed you and Pat doing a lot more strategy than you and I did. But all in all, a very fun evening).
