good news, bad news

good news... in negotiations with the Army CRREL for a lunar regolith drill automation task, my budget was reduced, but only from $1.27M --> $1.15M over 4 years. Not nearly as bad as I'd braced-for.

bad news... the wonderfully competent folks at our in-house travel agency never sent me my travel itinerary for next week -- because they accidentally cancelled it. I have to rebook everything for Houston on Monday in the next 2 hours. Sigh...

Congratulations.

And... fuckwits. God, I can't believe they did that.

Guess I'm not going to see much of you today. Good luck with getting that rebooked!

Wow. Great news about the funding.

yay on the funding...and while the travel-foo is annoying, it is much better than if the news were "no funding, but perfect travel arrangements"--- though from what I recall, you never have perfect travel arrangements, and often don't have travel arrangements at all.

Good about funding. But the travel folks are indeed fuckwits, as others have said.

(nods) which is one reason why I've had to learn travel management skills, in order to undo their messes ;^)
