ROFL... car follies

Yesterday, it stalled and the "check engine" light came on... because it was out of fuel. (hand to forehead) The indicator pointed to "E", true, but usually it goes *below* E before it actually runs dry... ROFL. At least it isn't something worse... :)

What is it out in the South Bay right now? On our side of Indy the 87 Octane stuff at the name brand stations is ~ $2.28/gallon.

87 is in the $2.40-2.50 range, 91 is around $2.65-2.79... local stations have reputedly begun ordering threes for their signs...

A couple of the places around the 237 / El Camino intersection in Mountain View were in the low $2.30s last I checked, but admittedly that was last week.

Funny how I've been using my Bronco a lot less this year. I've started becoming rather familiar with the dollar-limits per transaction on several of the local stations' pumps when I do fill it up, too....
