Not surprising, considering I'm an expatriate Southerner who went to university in New England... I used to get teased about my drawl at MIT, then get teased about pahking the cah when I'd go home over the summers...

I got teased for my "southern accent" when I went to school in Valparaiso, up by Chicago. I've lived in Indianapolis almost all my life.

Funny to think of Indy as "southern" WRT Chicago...

I have traces, which become much stronger after I've been back in southern climes for a week or two. Or had a bit to drink... :)
