bouncing pleasant surprises...

Pleasant surprises bounced up today.... I had a great interaction this morning with patgreene after the kids were off to school, felt really in-synch with her. :)

Then drove to SF and met tenacious_snail for lunch, getting lunch at the Ferry Building and picnicked sitting on the sunny docks... getting reassured and grounded after we'd had a stressful phone call the night before.

Then after returning to my office, found a completely unexpected gesture of support and inclusion that left my head spinning in surprise (viz. previous entry). Whew!

And finally, all three of my papers (two as lead, one as co-author) were accepted for the annual International Astronautical Congress in Japan in late October. (note to geekchick =)

Today has certainly not scraped ;^). I even got a travel reimbursement sooner than expected...
