lightening prospects

jayOkay... it is working. Not with the drill, yet, but with the simulator. Late night consultation between HC and sarahh revealed that the Linux laptops all had internal firewalls enabled for relevant ports, hence communications was mysteriously one-way.
Data is being received by the diagnostics, so I am considerably relieved...
NYC is still overcast and cool, but the rain has stopped. Last night's visit to Little Italy for dinner withtenacious_snail helped lift my spirits, too.
And I've turned down the lunar robotics coordinator job again, for the third time... sigh.
