Yankee Stadium last night was fun, and historic, but they need more food choices than just hot dogs and pretzels. Still, a fun change from pacing and glaring at hapless staff at Honeybee.

Yes, the drill automation actually works now, even the GT stuff that was written this week. And no one was arrested or killed!

Today, tenacious_snail and I had an uneventful couple of flights home. Then I departed with patgreene and rushed to Berkeley to a concert by Eddie From Ohio... just got home about 30 minutes ago. The female lead (Julie?) has a beautiful voice...

Shea Stadium offers falafel (without sauce, its parve), gyros, roasted nuts, and sushi.

They did have Bud Light, Becks, and Coke (not diet Coke). No chocolate, though.

Out here... they'd have brats and Polish sausages and hot links, nachos, microbrews, garlic fries and some location in the park serving things like sushi or pizza. And ice cream... the lack of ice cream and nachos surprised me, I'd thought those were universal at ballparks nowadays. Sushi and garlic fries may be too Californian, but ice cream?

if you'd gone to the women's restroom, you would have seen the icecream-- those dot things. But then you would have had other problems, I suppose (and diet coke was available, just not from the strolling vendors).

(shakes head) okay, dispensers for tampons I can understand, but why would the women's restroom have ice cream dispensers? And not the men's? That seems unfair...

I think it probably would be a good idea to include chocolate dispensers in women's restrooms.

I meant that if you'd strolled that far in the direction of the infield, you would've passed the ice cream dot cart.

that is why I often take my own to SBC Park. But since I don't eat chicken, pork or beef, my ballpark options are limited.
