patgreene cleaned the house and made a great dinner last night, for the two of us... earlier fed the kids hot dogs. Salad with strawberries and candied pecans and grapes and mixed greens, raspberry vinagrette, baked, stuffed potatoes, bacon-wrapped grilled filet mignon, a 1997 Woodbridge cabernet that was smooth and balanced. And for dessert... her brownies, made with added chocolate chips and Torani peppermint syrup, with French vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce.

And our anniversary is today... a restaurant will be hard-pressed to match last night's repast.

Otherwise... I'm going to dive back for one more round of LJ comments on the giant "asking" thread, then call it quits there.

This weekend... mostly hanging out at home until another anniversary tomorrow night with tenacious_snail, then a low-key BBQ here and watching fireworks on Monday. While working at home on a paper due in a week...
