Happy 07/06/05 ...

Received an email this morning from a TV producer for the Discovery Channel, he's doing Episode V of a six-part miniseries called "Mars Rising", intended for the fall season, is coming to Devon Island and wants to interview me about drilling for water and life on Mars as well as shooting our drilling tests in the permafrost. Shades of 4 years ago, when DC was all over the place...

I'm dreadfully behind on a paper about the selfsame drilling experiments, due Friday.

OTOH, I had a very good weekend... after my dinner out with patgreene, I had an anniversary date with tenacious_snail, hosted graciously by akienm and dawnd at their place. Which led to new insights. :) And then took D. and K. to see "Madagascar" before having a home BBQ and then taking Pat and the kids out to watch fireworks.

Both Georgia Tech and Honeybee have shipped to the Arctic. I need to pack and ship my equipment tomorrow. Nine days...

Still, I really enjoy the summer blossoms, here... (smile).
