They go into the nearby tents and emerge with a full coffee can, which they empty into the funnel... which I have done likewise at times of high or gusty winds ;).

Heh.. I potty-trained with a composting outhouse. But, rather then coffee cans, I'd be digging up a lady-J. Pilots think of these things :).
