Bi coffee

I went to San Jose this evening, and the Tuesday night coffee was deserted. Only [profile] jimweasel and a vaguely-familiar dark-haired woman were there, but they were ensconced on a couch, intent on each other. So I hung out, drank my coffee, looked at the new artwork (esp. the Rodin-Thinker-like wire sculptures above the bar) and left 15 minutes later. Saw a meteor on the way home, a brief greenish fireball.

On the other hand, I'm happy to have a date for the Palo Alto poly dinner tomorrow... [livejournal.com profile] patgreene wants to go with me. I'm a lucky guy... (smile).

As often happens, I was too tired to deal with the drive to San Jose. How odd that almost no one was there! Sorry I missed you, and the meteor. :/

This was only my third or fourth visit, so I wasn't certain that it hadn't been moved to a different site, or whether a 2-3 person turnout was commonplace.

Sorry that I missed you likewise, and wishing you more energy today :-).

Didn't feel like going... too tired, and not in a mood to be around a lot of people. [livejournal.com profile] clairaide, [livejournal.com profile] sinboy and I spent time watching the Nickelodeon gay parent special, and just hanging out talking to Rob (who stopped by to pick up sandals he left here another visit) and reading silly stuff online.

Falwell was a surprise, there... it seemed like the point was about tolerance, not same-sex-headed families per se.

Of course, the traditional-values coalition are going to rail against tolerance...
