jayWhen placed suddenly in a position in front of an audience of visiting scientists, and expected to speak extemporaneously authoritatively on several related projects, it helps greatly to actually *be* the authority in that narrow field. Whew. I could answer every question on every project, was confident and never off-balance, didn't BS (and if I had, they probably wouldn't have realized it), and earned "we knew you could do it" plaudits from management.
Now, on to really challenging stuff... like my four overdue travel vouchers and receipts.
