So my decision not to volunteer to do the training was probably a good idea? (at least I won't have to try not to laugh at the teacher)..

Well, the instructor serves in the Naval Reserve in counterintelligence and as an interrogator (I wondered to myself if he knew pecunium). He has also served stints working with the US Coast Guard, including operations, like, um, boarding ships and interrogating their, um, crews... ;^).

He was amused that you were our sysadmin, but commented that you undoubtedly knew how to do C3I to remote locations.
